Your data

In two sentences
Our tools are free, with no account, no advertising and no cookies. Almost everything stays on your device: here is exactly what leaves it, and why.
Who is responsible
Philippe Brasseim, on a personal basis, for the DANA-ECOSYSTEME project. There is no public postal address: you can reach us by email at contact@danaecosysteme.com, which is checked regularly.
What stays on your device
Your texts, your documents, your progress, your name, your attestation and your settings stay in your device’s browser. We never see them. You can erase everything at any time, in each tool. For example, in the Introduction, open the menu at the top right, then “Settings”, “Data” and “Erase all”. You can also clear the site’s data in your browser.
What leaves on its own: a count that does not identify you
To find out whether our tools are useful to anyone, each of them sends a small signal. It sends it only once: the first time you open it on a device. The signal contains:
- the version of the tool;
- the language and time zone of your device (not your location);
- for the Introduction only, if you arrived through a shared link: the type of that link, for example a share or an email;
- for the Introduction only: whether it is opened online, or from a copy on your device.
It never contains your name, your texts or any identifier, and it sets no cookie. Your device only keeps a marker that says “the signal has already been sent”, so as not to send it again. This marker is used for nothing else. It is stored in your browser’s storage space, it is not a cookie. It stays for 13 months at most. You can erase it at any time with the site’s data. The program that receives the signal keeps nothing of your internet address: neither the address nor a code calculated from it, which is called a fingerprint. It only adds 1 to separate totals: per day, per language, per time zone, per version and, for the Introduction, per type of link. These totals are never cross-referenced. The daily detail is erased after about 13 months. These totals are public: you can see them on the Statistics page. A public counter has limits. Someone who looks at it very often can guess that a new device has just opened a tool. And a counter can always be distorted. That is why small numbers, under 5, are grouped together, and the update time is rounded.
As with any website, the host’s server sees the internet address of your device. It keeps it for about a month in its technical logs. The host sets this period. We do not use it to recognize you.
We do this count because we have a legitimate interest in knowing whether our free tools are used (GDPR, Article 6, paragraph 1, point f). You can object by writing to contact@danaecosysteme.com. But since the signal contains no identifier, we will not be able to remove your device from the total.
In the AI Introduction: your shares and your attestation
When you press a share button, or when you download your attestation, a signal with no name is also sent. It only says “a share” or “an attestation downloaded”, with the language. It adds 1 to a total. Your attestation itself never leaves: it is a file on your device.
The “Feedback” form (Introduction)
It is sent only if you send it. It contains your ratings, the type of message and your message. Your first name, your country and your email are optional. You can also agree to have your feedback published (first name and country only, never the email).
- Why: to improve the tools, and to answer you if you left your email.
- Where it goes: as an email, to our mailbox contact@danaecosysteme.com, at the host. Only Philippe Brasseim reads it.
- On what basis: your consent, given by sending the form (GDPR, Article 6, paragraph 1, point a). You can withdraw it at any time by email.
- Age: by checking the box, you confirm that you are 15 or older. We cannot check this.
- Against abuse: to limit repeated submissions, the server calculates a fingerprint of your internet address, never the address itself. It erases this fingerprint after about 10 minutes, 20 minutes at most. It also counts the total number of feedback messages received during the day, without any address.
- On your device: the app keeps a copy of your feedback. “Erase all” deletes it.
The Talent Bank (dormant)
It concerns only people who have an old attestation starting with “PT-”. If you click “Register” yourself, the attestation number, its grade and a check fingerprint are sent, so that the attestation can be verified. Nothing is sent without this click.
How long we keep your data
| Data | Duration |
|---|---|
| Count (totals with no identifier, no address) | daily detail erased after about 13 months |
| Host’s technical logs (internet address) | about one month, period set by the host |
| Form’s anti-abuse fingerprint | about 10 minutes, 20 at most |
| Unpublished feedback | 12 months, then erased |
| Published feedback (first name and country) | until you withdraw your consent |
| Email left in a feedback message | erased after our reply, and after 12 months at the latest |
| Talent Bank | as long as the attestation remains valid, or until your request for erasure |
Who receives your data
Only our host, Infomaniak, in Switzerland, which runs the site and the email mailbox. Switzerland is recognized by the European Commission as protecting data as well as the European Union does. We host nothing in the United States. We sell nothing, we show no advertising, and we give nothing to an AI.
What goes to an AI
Only what you copy and paste yourself into the AI of your choice. That AI then handles your text under its own rules, not ours. Before pasting a text, hide your personal information. The “Control what the AI can see” window, in the Introduction, and the Personal Data Mask are made for that.
Your rights
You can ask to see your data, correct it, erase it, object to its use, restrict its use, or withdraw your consent. Write to contact@danaecosysteme.com: we reply within one month. Since we keep very little data, and almost never with a name, we will sometimes be unable to find you. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL: cnil.fr.
Security
The site uses an encrypted connection (https). Only one person has access to the email mailbox and the server.
